Vision
The HCS ESL Department will be a model of support for MLs in their endeavor to become globally competitive and highly productive adults.
Mission
The HCS ESL Department will nurture our MLs in their social and academic development by providing them with Best Practices of Instruction and will establish dynamic partnerships with educators, parents, families, and communities to ensure their success.
LIEP
Our district based Language Instruction Educational Program was designed to help MLs achieve English proficiency and participate fully in their academic programs in compliance with The U.S. Office for Civil Rights and The NC State Board of education. To learn more:
